Learning from mistakes

In 2004, the tables were set for a Democratic steamroll: the country was growing weary of the scandalous ineptitude of their President, the quagmire of Iraq was beginning to become clear, people were becoming aware of the black heart of the Republican spin machine, and everyone was ready for a change from family dynasties in politics. Why didn't the Democrats win? No good candidate.

Luckily, we've learned from our mistakes.
